In the “they think of everything” department the Swany X-Change Junior Mitt has a minor detail you might miss at first blush. On the palm side of the mitten’s wrist is a tab designed to help kids pull their mittens on. It’s just one of the many details that make these a great pair of ski gloves. A microfiber Swany softshell exterior and triplex insulation system with a Hipora ® Waterproof/Breathable Insert and Swany Dry Lining keep the interior of this mitten nice and cozy, and just in case, Swany includes a Utility Heat Pocket with a zipper to tuck a disposable heat pack into when the thermometer is hovering at “well, that’s cold” but they still insist it isn’t too cold to ski. A speed draw and release system blocks snow from the cuff and a quick release wrist strap allows for sizing customization at the wrist. This is a well designed ski mitten that even includes pre-curved finger construction so small hands aren’t fighting fabric when they grab a ski pole. If your junior skier is reliably cold mittens keep little fingers together for more warmth but not all mittens are designed for skiers. These are well constructed, durable, mittens for skiers that will also hold up under afternoon backyard play.
